Composition #09-Set.2021. Inspired by the Earth Goddess Anu -this is a set of two inspired by the same theme. They have similar styles and colours. Some photos in the gallery show both paintings together.
Some information on why I choose this name: One legend of Irish Folklore is Anu, the Irish Earth Goddess from whom all life emerged. Anu was seen to embody the earth, rivers, and sea. She offered fertility, abundance, regeneration and nurturing.
The technique involved in these paintings involves use of a thicker paint and creating the swirls intentionally. These fluid acrylic paintings on wood panels 8×8 inch have some light/heavy metallic paint in gold and copper, which really brings out a shine when the light hits it.
One has a soft blue background which is incorporated into the swirls of a deep blue/teal with expressions of gold, copper, white, light yellow, black, teal, violet and various combinations of blends.
The second one–This one has a deep violet navy background and part of it, with a white background on the rest. Swirls of a deep blue/teal with expressions of gold, copper, white, light yellow, black, teal, violet and various combinations of blends.
